We are volunteers. Over time, we have noticed that gathering volunteers in times of need is a very difficult process. One of the biggest obstacles is the lack of information about the locations where volunteers are needed and the type of help required. Many of the volunteers who respond go to disaster sites unprepared and without proper equipment, which creates a serious risk to their health and lives.
This is the reason we created this application.
Through it, there will be visibility of where and when a disaster has occurred, as well as where, from when, and until when volunteers are needed.
We have made an effort to provide guidelines for basic equipment and gear necessary to protect volunteers. We have described essential and necessary items that every person should have prepared in order to be able to respond in case of a disaster. We have also provided basic guidelines on how to react before, during, and after a disaster.
During the development process, we decided to include an option that allows ordinary people to report that they need help due to a disaster. We have seen and heard of situations where volunteers and rescuers themselves end up needing rescue, which is why we added this signaling feature as well.
